The AVRcam is a real-time image processing engine that finally lets the developer add advanced vision capabilities to their projects. Its small (2.4" x 1.9"), easy to use (interface through a UART...either TTL-levels or RS232 levels), and low-power (~57 mA at 5 V). This system is unassembled in kit form, and requires the end-user to assemble and solder the AVRcam board, as well as assemble and solder the serial and power cables. There are no surface-mount components. For more details, check out the AVRcam project page.
