YUV / RGB conversion

First silly questions (more to follow).

How do I set up a java programming environment for win2k or gentoo or debian sid? Please make any instructions idiot proof.


Where in the AVRcamVIEW source could I inject this algorithm ( http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/defau ... nd_rgb.asp ) for debugging my RGB/YUV code? It doesn't have to be perfect as without a good reason to the contraray I can only see it as a temporary thing.

Any other hints/tips/suggestions/insults will be greeted with the appropriate deference.
